My Blog
In my drawing classes, I have my students begin with graphite pencils and then move into colored pencils their second year.  I begin by allowing them to use red, yellow, and blue pencils only.  I use and recommend Prismacolor pencils.

This is a drawing that I made during class using just the three primary colors.  Try it, it's a great and fun exercise.
